The Koala Hospital is an organization established in 1973 that focuses on rehabilitating koalas. It is managed and run by volunteers and it is non-profit. It is not only a hospital for treating sick and injured koalas, but also a place of research for many universities. Around 200 to 250 koalas are treated in their hospital each year and they have strong relationships with zoos, rehabilitation centers, and wildlife veterinarians world wide.

I am thrilled that The Koala Hospital has so kindly has welcomed me, so I may carry out my Eagle Scout Project. By helping koalas, they are continually saving a species from extinction. Koalas are a very fascinating species and should be protected at all costs. The Koala Hospital is volunteering their time and energy to helping these animals and I wanted to do the same. The Koala Hospital is an inspiration for many people and organizations all across the globe. Throughout this project their support in backing me has been phenomenal. The work that the volunteers do at The Koala Hospital is outstanding and I would like to thank them for all that they do.
